Job Description
Join McLaren Medical Group as a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist, where you will play a vital role in patient care and innovative diagnostics. Your primary responsibilities include preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals (radioactive drugs) to patients for diagnostic imaging or therapeutic procedures. You will operate specialized imaging equipment to produce detailed images that reveal how various organs and tissues are functioning, aiding physicians in diagnosing conditions accurately.
Additional duties include explaining procedures to patients, ensuring strict radiation safety protocols for both patients and staff, maintaining and calibrating imaging equipment, and meticulously documenting all processes for compliance and quality assurance. You will collaborate closely with physicians, contributing crucial data for diagnosis, patient treatment, and ongoing research efforts. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a hospital setting, clinic, or laboratory environment dedicated to advanced medical imaging.
What You Bring
Proven experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with strong knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals and imaging techniques
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety and comfort
Strong communication skills to effectively explain procedures and safety protocols to patients
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Preferred Education & Experience
Associate’s Degree or higher in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related healthcare field
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting
Familiarity with the latest imaging equipment and radiation safety standards
Experience working in hospital, clinic, or research environments is highly desirable
