Manager - Operating Room

Under the direction of the Director of Surgery, provides leadership, direction, supervision and coordination of the operational activities in the Operating Room and Sterile Processing at Sauk Prairie Healthcare. The Operating Room Manager is a registered nurse who has responsibility for the management of patient care, nursing personnel, surgical technicians, sterile processing technicians and unit operations.  This individual helps ensure the delivery of high-quality services, manages resources and people, quality and performance improvement and serves as a role-model for SPH’s values and mission.  The Operating Room Manager may provide direct patient care as needed and maintains an expert knowledge base for surgical practice.  This position consults with staff to monitor clinical practice, works with staff to effect change, and performs customer service.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree nursing.  Associate Degree in Nursing with applicable work experience will be considered.  Minimum of 3 years operating room experience with demonstrated progressive leadership, preferably in a nursing leadership role. Valid Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS, and Certified Nurse – Operating Room (CNOR) within the first two years of hire.
