About The Position

Job Title : CVOR Tech

Profession : Surgical Services

Specialty : CVOR / Vascular Surgery

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (06 : 30 - 15 : 00)

Experience : Completion of surgical technologist training program and / or 2 years experience as a surgical technologist.

License : BLS Required

Certifications : CST, NBSTSA, NCCT

Must-Have :

• Proficient in a wide variety of high-level surgical technologist skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and twist for up to or exceeding 8 to 12 hours during shifts.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing 50 pounds or more using proper body mechanics.
• Ability to lift patients weighing 125 pounds or more with assistance using proper body mechanics.

Description :

This position is filled by a Surgical Technologist.

The individual must possess the knowledge and technical skills necessary to assist in operations.

Work is performed under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.

Responsibilities include setting up the operating room, preparing and transporting patients for surgery, adjusting lights and equipment, and passing instruments to surgeons.

Additional duties involve holding retractors, cutting sutures, and counting sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments.

The individual is responsible and accountable for direct patient care for assigned patients in the perioperative unit.

There is a requirement to adhere to all standards of perioperative care and promote teamwork among co-workers.

The individual must embody the vision, mission, values, and standards of the organization.

The individual will handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.

There may be exposure to inside environmental conditions, including hazards and infectious diseases.

The work environment is a hospital setting open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Holidays and work during inclement weather may be required.
