Job Title : Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Shift : Day - 5x8 - 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM

Guaranteed Hours : 40 Hours per week

Experience : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Anesthesiology

License : Iowa License or IMLC (or willingness to obtain)

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, DEA

Must-Have : COVID Vaccination

Job Description :

• Join a multidisciplinary team of seven physicians and twelve CRNAs providing anesthesia coverage for a progressive hospital and ambulatory surgery center.
• Provide coverage for general cases including Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho, Pediatric, and Obstetrics.
• Participate in a Level 2 Trauma ER environment without a Pain Clinic.
• Provide oversight and guidance for CRNAs.
• Cover cardiac surgeries and be on cardiac call from Monday to Thursday.
• General weekend call approximately six weekends per year and one holiday annually.
• Assigned to general cases if no cardiac cases are scheduled.
• Engage in a growing hospital cardiac surgery program within a hospital-based practice setting.
• Utilize electronic documentation system transitioning from Cerner to EPIC, with occasional paper documentation.
• Handle an average of one cardiac surgery per day and 5-7 general surgeries.
• Work with a diverse patient age demographic including adolescents, children, adults, and geriatric patients. Very sick children are referred to specialized facilities.
• Operate in facilities with eight operating rooms in use simultaneously.
• Open to accepting H1B visa candidates.
