About the role :
The Machine Operator (Yarn Prep Operator) sets up and runs equipment to prepare incoming materials for the textile manufacturing process.
2nd Shift : Monday - Friday 3 : 00pm-11 : 00pm with training on 1st shift for approximately 6 months
Hiring Bonus : $1,000 after completion of 6 months
What you will do :
- Obtains training and knowledge for operating various types of Yarn Prep machinery.
- Provides flexibility to run many different process and machines.
- Follows standard operating procedures and work instructions to set up and operate the textile equipment they are trained to operate.
- Visually inspects product as it is running on their machine and documents / reports defects onto the production records and / or to their supervisor or quality team member.
- Performs tasks in accordance with applicable Work Instructions (WI), Visual Inspection Criteria, SOP’s, and internal specifications.
- Labels and packages product as per internal specifications.
- Enters information and uses ERP system to report quantities and time spent on jobs.
- Maintains clean machinery, parts, and surrounding area.
- Completes all associated paperwork & ERP tasks as required.
- Handles and weighs raw materials, cones, warps, and applicable textile processing tools as needed to perform their job.
- Other duties as assigned.
