In Short :

The Sales Performance Manager is responsible for driving sales performance by providing coaching, leadership, and strategic direction to the Territory Sales Specialists, Inside Sales Coordinators, and Customer Service Representatives. This role ensures alignment between sales and marketing efforts, fosters continuous improvement in sales operations, and upholds the Buechel Stone brand identity in every customer interaction.

Role and Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership to Territory Sales Specialists, Inside Sales Coordinators, and Customer Service Representatives.
  • Run weekly L10 meetings to foster accountability, alignment, and performance improvement.
  • Help staff develop quarterly SMART rocks to ensure clear, measurable progress.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to strengthen sales techniques, negotiation skills, and product knowledge.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure alignment on BHAG State Strategy and consistent messaging.
  • Partner with the VP of Business Development to define sales strategies, budgets, commission plans, and quotes.
  • Identify, analyze, and prioritize customer performance data to ensure a healthy and sustainable sales pipeline.
  • Monitor and refine sales processes to strengthen both front-stage customer experiences and backstage efficiency.
  • Sales Operations & Technology

  • Oversee the use of all sales technologies; collaborate with IT to improve lead follow-up and team efficiency.
  • Regularly review CRM data to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and appropriate follow-up on all leads and opportunities.
  • Approve travel, expenses, vacation, and other administrative matters within the sales department.
  • Customer Experience & Brand Stewardship

  • Maintain and promote the Buechel Stone brand identity in all customer-facing interactions.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality customer experiences across all touchpoints in the building industry.
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints, staffing concerns, and operational issues that could impact sales success.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, IT, and Operations to streamline processes and drive sales effectiveness.
  • Partner with leadership to continuously evaluate performance, identify growth opportunities, and remove barriers to success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
  • Qualifications

  • Proven track record in sales leadership with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems, sales technologies, and pipeline management.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Hours will be approximately 45 hours per week
