Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in Iowa requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and at least 1.5 years of ICU experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a hospital setting
  • May float between ICU and Med Surg units as needed
  • Expected to comfortably manage a patient load of 3-5 patients
  • Epic EMR is used and experience is preferred
  • Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
  • Only one day of time off permitted between specified peak holiday date ranges
  • Local candidates may be considered but different bill rates may apply depending on taxable address
  • Med Surg experience is valued due to floating requirements between units

    • Requirements

  • Active Iowa or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience required
  • Med Surg experience strongly encouraged for floating between units
  • Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required (AHA preferred)
  • All required licenses and certifications must be active at the time of consideration
  • COVID vaccination required; medical / religious exemptions considered
  • One supervisory performance reference from within the last 2 years required
