    • Qualifications :

  • Education : Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.

    • Licensure : Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements

  • Experience : Can be new or experienced LPN
  • Certifications :
  • LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire (range from upon hire to within 1 year)
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • Physical requirements / demands :
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and / or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
  • Surgical Trauma "3A" is a 33-bed unit, fast-paced med-surg telemetry unit which focuses on adult post- operative and trauma patients. Nurse patient ratios are : Days 5 : 1, Nights 6 : 1. On our unit we offer you the opportunity to develop excellent critical thinking skills as well as use a wide variety of clinical skills including :

    • Head-to-toe assessments

  • Reading and posting telemetry strips
  • IV insertions
  • Catheter, trach, and ostomy care
  • Wound care
  • Chest tube
