Must-Have Skills / Experience :

Assessing post-partum maternal health.

Assisting with breastfeeding.

Monitoring vital signs and observing for signs of complications.

Managing postpartum complications.

Administering medications.

Teaching new parents essential newborn and maternal care for a safe transition home.

Assisting with pain management and healing after normal delivery or C-section.

Conducting physical and psychosocial assessments of the mother.

Providing emotional support and addressing psychosocial needs.

Post-Partum experience required.

Description :

This position involves direct patient care in a post-partum setting.

Responsibilities include assessing maternal health and assisting with breastfeeding.

You will monitor vital signs and identify any complications.

Providing education to new parents on essential care for both mother and newborn will also be required.

Pain management and support after delivery are key responsibilities.

You will conduct thorough assessments of mothers’ physical and psychosocial health.

Providing emotional support is essential for addressing psychosocial needs.

Post-partum experience is required for this role.

Preferred skill set includes experience in couplet care.

Common diagnoses and treatments may include bowel obstruction, hip fracture, cholelithiasis, appendicitis, and post-partum care.

A professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively within a team are important.

Dress code includes scrubs in any color.

Unacceptable attire includes camouflage and logo shirts or sweatshirts other than those of the facility.
