$3,400 to $3,512 per week

About The Position

Title : Registered Respiratory Therapist – NICU

Location : Reno, NV - 89511

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 4x12 hrs, Days / Nights, OT and on-call as needed

Job Responsibilities :

  • Administer respiratory care as prescribed by the physician.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluation, including obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting data, and conducting cardiopulmonary tests and studies.
  • Manage, educate, and provide rehabilitation and care for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies or abnormalities.
  • Apply respiratory technology and follow treatment protocols across all care sites.
  • Provide and monitor medical gases, environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, and bronchopulmonary hygiene.
  • Administer pharmacological agents related to respiratory care procedures.
  • Support cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and hemodynamic cardiovascular functions.
  • Float between adult critical care and neonatal critical care areas.
  • Participate in NICU transport and delivery attendance as needed.

Required / Preferred Skills and Information :

  • Minimum 3 years Level 3 NICU experience; Level 2 or greater NICU experience required.
  • Competency in high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, heliox, neonatal intubation, neonatal ventilator management, bubble CPAP, heated high flow for neonates, and neonatal arterial puncture.
  • NRP, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
  • NICU transport experience preferred.
  • Must be available for OT shifts and on-call coverage.
