A company is looking for a HIM Certified Coder IP.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately code hospital inpatient, outpatient, and professional fee encounters using ICD10 / ICDPCS, CPT, or HCPCs codes
Provide interdepartmental coding assistance and develop compliant coding processes
Facilitate revenue optimization while maintaining compliance standards and serve as a coding expert for internal and external parties
Required Qualifications
Certifications : Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-Based (CCS-P), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
Knowledge of ICD10, CPT, and HCPCs coding rules
Experience with coding software and encoders preferred
Understanding of medical science, anatomy, and physiology
Ability to perform computer data entry
