Manager Of Quality Assurance
Collins Aerospace is hiring a Manager of Quality Assurance in our Lenexa, KS location to support our Galley Inserts team. This position manages the execution of the Quality Assurance operational plan. In this role, you will lead a team of primarily experienced Quality Assurance professionals or a team responsible for Quality Assurance. You will set tactical and operational plans in support of continuous quality improvement, and provide guidance on the implementation of Quality Assurance plans and procedures. You will interact with different internal stakeholders from the site and offshore sites coordinating quality improvements, which are later on reported to the top management.
This role may be eligible for relocation.
What You Will Do
- Develops and manages plans, guidelines, policies and processes, to ensure the achievement of quality targets.
- Leads implementation of organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
- Oversees quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
- Manages teams collecting and analyzing quality information from multiple sources to develop long-term quality strategies and programs.
- Manages teams providing production process analyses, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvement.
- Develops and implements operations quality plans and procedures.
- Manages and maintains department budget requirements.
- Leads and directs quality organization and provides cross-functional quality integration leadership
- Establishes, oversees, and administers processes, policies, and best practices, and determines resource requirements, acquisition, improvement plans and quality measures.
- Communicates, educates, trains and coaches customers, suppliers, and internal personnel regarding Quality policies, processes and procedures.
- Provides cross-functional Quality technical expertise.
- Prepares and presents departmental metrics at site monthly reviews.
- Manages product compliance and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.Qualifications We Prefer
Prior Quality Management experience is preferred in an aerospace or other manufacturing industry.Experience with APQPAdvanced Product Quality Planning and tools.Experience with operational performance improvement planning and execution is preferred.AS9100 experience is preferred.Proven experience managing and developing teams, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and fostering career growth.Demonstrated ability to build trust and collaborate across departments to align quality initiatives with business goals.Quality Inspection background.GD&T experience.What We Offer
