Business Development Consultant – Innovative Wealth Solutions Leader. We are seeking a driven Business Development Consultant to connect with financial advisors and introduce them to wealth management resources designed to accelerate business growth. This high-visibility role blends consultative selling with the ability to influence advisor success and build long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage prospective financial advisors by showcasing how integrated platforms, investment solutions, and client engagement tools can support their growth goals.
- Deliver insightful, consultative guidance on product features, portfolio strategies, and performance metrics.
- Design and deliver compelling presentations that highlight the unique value of available offerings at advisor-focused events.
- Conduct proactive outreach to prospective advisors through targeted campaigns, lead lists, and cold calling while building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.
- Collaborate with regional sales teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term success of newly acquired advisors.
- Travel up to 30% to meet with clients, attend industry events, and represent the platform within your territory.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities.Proven ability to foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment while independently driving business results.Strong self-motivation and adaptability in fast-moving sales environments.Hands-on experience evaluating managed money platforms and investment solutions.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Comfortable working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce to manage leads, territories, and pipelines.Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related discipline.4+ years of professional experience in the financial services industry.4+ years of proven success in sales, including both phone-based and in-person engagements.Experience managing sales pipelines and lead generation through CRM platforms such as Salesforce.Active FINRA licenses required : Series 6, 63, and 65, or Series 7 and 66.Compensation
Base Salary : $65,000 – $80,000 (dependent on experience, skills, and location).Sales Incentive Plan : Annual target of up to $80,000, tied directly to performance and achievement of clearly defined goals.Hybrid work flexibility for candidates near Chicago, IL.Benefits & Perks
