We are seeking an OK licensed (TX, NM license a plus) Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong background in troubleshooting, installation and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial and industrial enviroments. This role involves working on various construction sites, where you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters, as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings according to NEC standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Utilize voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Work collaboratively with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Install logic controllers and other automated systems as required for specific projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in a commercial setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and logic controllers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
