Experience primarily derived from working in an MEP engineering office whose main clients are architectural firms. Mandatory knowledge of hydronic systems (chilled water, hot water, steam) and BAS. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Experience designing HVAC systems for hospital / healthcare facilities. Load calculation / energy modeling experience (Trace 700).
Heating Air Conditioning Design Engineer
Location : Charlotte, NC
Base pay range : $125,000 – $140,000 per year. Additional compensation : annual bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer complex HVAC systems for commercial buildings, focusing on detailed production work.
- Meet and communicate effectively with clients, primarily architects, to understand project requirements and present design solutions.
- Conduct site inspections throughout the design and construction phases to ensure quality and compliance.
- Act as a lead production engineer committed to design output and technical excellence.
