The Manager in Training may assume supervisory responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence and is trained in the Store Manager's responsibilities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
- Consult with the Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
- Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
- Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
- Direct staff to ensure each department's responsibilities and standards are completed.
- Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
- Maintain high-quality customer service.
- Perform general administrative duties as needed and be trained in the Store Manager's responsibilities.
- Provide extraordinary customer service, including assisting customers as they enter the store and helping multiple customers during peak periods.
- Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
- Uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards as listed in manuals and memos.
- Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring internal control procedures are followed and reporting potential fraud risks.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises employees in the absence of the Store Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, and resolving problems.
Qualifications
Experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.1-3 years of customer service experience.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to assist in managing a team and achieving overall goals and profits.Self-starter with initiative and ability to take on important tasks without being asked.Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately.Team-oriented with a passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.Compensation
Hourly : $9.00 - $11.70
