Residential Install Technician

The Residential Install Technician plays a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic and coaxial cable systems across diverse environments, including residential properties, office buildings, and commercial facilities.

• This position ensures the reliable delivery of high-speed internet and communication services.
• Primary Responsibilities
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic systems to ensure peak performance.
• Perform precise splicing of coaxial cables across various types and sizes.
• Execute efficient splicing for aerial and underground installations, including span replacements, single-dwelling units (SDUs), small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and relocation projects.
• Identify and replace damaged or obsolete fiber optic infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues in fiber networks.
• Evaluate job sites to mitigate risks associated with faulty installations.
• Monitor and document signal strength for services such as television, internet, and telephone.
• Conduct live splicing on active devices with accuracy and minimal disruption.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong digital literacy; comfortable with tablets, spreadsheets, project tracking tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Capable of making independent decisions and solving problems under pressure.

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 / hr.
