Berkeley County is West Virginia’s fastest growing county, and the Berkeley County Emergency Ambulance Authority is growing too! We are a 911 EMS agency and the sole provider of emergency medical services for the county apart from the City of Martinsburg. We operate 10 units daily across 6 stations and respond to about 15,000 calls for service every year. We pride ourselves in maintaining a modern fleet, equipment, and facilities along with high quality training provided to our staff monthly to help our clinicians continue to grow.

Job Overview

The primary duty of this role is direct patient care in the 911 EMS setting. The Paramedic is typically the highest trained provider on the ambulance and is therefore the lead for the crew. The Paramedic does not directly supervise an EMT but they will direct the EMT with orders and requests during patient care as needed. The schedule for this position is two 24 hour shifts per week which equals 96 hours per 2 week pay period. The BCEAA schedule is 24 / 48 rotation with a Kelly day every 7 shifts.
