Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Global EHS leads the Institute's global environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance with international regulations, driving workplace safety culture, and integrating product safety requirements into the machine design process. This role provides strategic direction, manages global EHS initiatives, and supports business leaders in achieving safety, compliance, and sustainability goals. You'll partner with leaders worldwide to create a culture where safety and environmental stewardship are core to how we operate.
Responsibilities
Lead and SuperviseLead the development and execution of our global EHS strategy.
Provide direction and mentorship to global EHS managers and regional / site representatives.Support professional development through training, skill-building, and career growth opportunities for the EHS team.Mentor and develop the global EHS team to build technical expertise and leadership skills.Manage EHS budget, resources, and technology platforms for data analytics and reporting.Promote an Employee-Driven Safety CultureFoster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture aligned with company values and goals.
Partner with Engineering, R&D, and Operations to ensure product designs meet applicable safety standards (ISO, CE, UL, ANSI).Develop, deliver, and monitor safety training and emergency preparedness programs.Collaborate with sustainability and operations teams on environmental impact reduction initiatives.Develop and promote communication, training, and recognition programs.Ensure Regulatory ComplianceOversee occupational safety, product safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability initiatives across all locations.
Drive audits, risk assessments, and corrective action programs.Lead incident investigations and ensure learnings are applied globally.Standardize and maintain global EHS management systems, policies, and procedures.Collect and Report Safety DataDefine, collect and analyze EHS performance data (KPIs) and prepare reports for senior leadership.

Strategic Planning : Develop and implement a global EHS strategy aligned with corporate objectives.Change Management : Lead safety culture transformation across diverse regions and departments.Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with Operations, HR, Legal, and Compliance teams.Team Leadership & Development : Coaching, mentoring, and building a high-performing global EHS team.Decision-Making & Problem-Solving : Balance safety, operational efficiency, and compliance priorities.Technical & Regulatory Expertise : Global EHS Regulations (OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, CE, UL, ANSI, and equivalent international standards).Product Safety & Machinery Standards : Familiarity with ISO 12100, IEC 60204, ANSI B11, and machine safeguarding regulations.Risk Management : Hazard identification, risk assessments, FMEA, and root cause analysis.Environmental Compliance : Understanding sustainability frameworks, energy management, and waste reduction programs.Analytical & Technical Skills : Data analysis, dashboards, KPIs, audits, and certification processes.Communication & Interpersonal Skills : Global communication, influencing, negotiation, and training.Behavioral & Leadership Attributes : Results-oriented, adaptability, ethical leadership, and innovation.Education Qualifications and Certifications
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health & safety, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience; Master's degree preferred. Relevant professional certifications strongly preferred (CSP, CIH, CPEA, ISO Lead Auditor).Leadership Experience : 8+ years of progressive EHS experience, including multi-site or international scope. 1+ year of experience leading or supervising staff.Technical / Domain Specific / Functional Experience : Demonstrated knowledge of international EHS regulations and standards. Strong understanding of machine safety regulations and product compliance standards (ISO 12100, CE, UL, ANSI) preferred.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across global teams. Strong cross-cultural communication and influencing skills.Additional Requirements
Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 40%Work Environment / Physical Demands
Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business related machines and software.Salary Range
$125-165K
