Budget Analyst Opportunity With HII's Mission Technologies Division

HII, Mission Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Budget Analyst to join our team supporting the Department of Navy's Chief Information Office (DON CIO). In this role, you'll be instrumental in managing critical financial operations and ensuring optimal resource allocation for essential defense programs. HII's expertise in wireless communication includes 50+ years of performing RF Engineering for DoD, government and commercial agencies in the US and overseas. This expertise expands to analyzing, and formatting spectrum data, including frequency assignment, spectrum certifications, LiDAR, and other geo-referenced data. Our Scientists and Engineers support diverse tasks such as spectrum forensics and deconfliction, testing for coverage amid urban clutter, and antenna site planning. HII's RESED team supports opportunities with projects ranging from supporting international satellite coordination in space to countering IEDs. Our work is increasingly important in a world that depends on well-coordinated, interference-free spectrum access. Position will require onsite work in Arlington, VA. A SECRET clearance is required.

What You Will Do :

• Strategic budget execution and formulation across multiple programs.
• Development of comprehensive financial models and forecasts.
• Analyze and evaluate procurement requests for compliance with federal regulations; develop cost estimates and financial implications for proposed acquisitions; Monitor and track procurement activities and spending patterns.
• Support contract administration from pre-award through close-out; Monitor contract performance and financial execution; Assist in developing contract modifications and amendments.
• Track program budgets and provide regular status updates; Identify and analyze variances between planned and actual expenditures; Support development of program financial strategies.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses for proposed initiatives; Develop financial models and forecasts; Prepare detailed business cases for new projects.
• Generate and manage DOD funding documents
• Present budget updates to senior leadership
• Develop and track program financial strategies
• Monitor and optimize program expenditures.
• Conduct detailed financial audits of program expenditures; Prepare comprehensive audit reports and recommendations : Ensure compliance with federal financial regulations and policies.
