Universal Surveying & Mapping is hiring a CAD Technician in Denver, Colorado.

Talent Acquisition Specialist at Universal Field Services

Universal Surveying & Mapping is a multi-disciplinary civil engineering and land surveying firm with expertise in land development, planning, transportation projects, utilities, construction inspection, and surveying solutions. Our team of engineers, surveyors, and technicians deliver quality and accurate engineering and surveying work. We seek professionals who build long-term careers with the Universal family.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare drawings using Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems.
  • Use of BluSky, RouteMapper and / or PlatMapper software.
  • Prepare variations of design.
  • Write metes and bounds descriptions as part of deliverables.

Deliverables / Experience

  • Easement Plats with Legal Descriptions
  • HDD Designs
  • Project Construction Typicals
  • Draw topographical and relief maps to aid in design
  • Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures
  • Follow drafting standards and templates for deliverables
  • ODOT experience preferred but not required

    • Qualifications

  • 3-10 years Autodesk CAD related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in principles / practices of Land Surveying and Mapping
  • Heavy experience in principles / practices of Oil & Gas Pipeline Mapping
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and proof of current auto insurance
