About The Position

General Surgery – Locum Tenens | 10 Days / Month Call | North Dakota (IMLC Welcome)

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon for a locum tenens call coverage opportunity in North Dakota starting September 2025 . This role is ideal for physicians looking for a flexible schedule with predictable call volume and excellent support.

Opportunity Highlights :

Schedule : 10 days per month of 24-hour call coverage (flexible scheduling)

Start Date : September 2025 – Ongoing

Trauma Level : IV

Call Response Time : 20 minutes

Daily Patient Volume : 0–5 General Surgery patients per 24 hours

Credentialing : 30 days; temp privileges available

Payor Enrollment : Required

Duties Include :

Phone consults, admissions, rounding (General Surgery only)

Emergent surgery coverage 24 / 7 (elective surgeries scheduled Mon–Fri)

No clinic or APP supervision required

Anesthesia coverage by CRNA group

Required Procedures :

Abdominal Surgery

Endoscopy

Gallbladders, Appendectomy, Colon, Laparoscopy

Stomach, Liver, Spleen

Preferred Skills (Not Required) :

Pediatrics, Vascular, Thyroid, Pulmonary

Candidate Requirements :

Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 3 years of US residency)

Active ND license or IMLC (in-process OK)

ACLS and ND DEA required

Clean malpractice history preferred
