About The Position

Job Title : Physical Therapist

Experience : 1 to 2 years related experience and / or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

License : Current Physical Therapy license or eligible for registration

Certifications : Current BLS course completion

Must-Have : Pediatric experience is a plus

Description :

This position works under limited supervision while administering various standard physical therapy treatments for disabilities, injuries, and diseases.

The goal is to relieve pain, restore motor function, and maintain optimal performance.

This role requires the ability to effectively relate to patients, nurses, physicians, and other staff in a courteous and professional manner.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong analytical and diagnostic skills are required to interpret physician orders for physical therapy patients and develop effective treatment plans.

Good oral and written communication skills are necessary to meet the demands of the job.

The position involves frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, sitting, walking, standing, talking, and performing repetitive hand motions.

The employee may occasionally lift boxes or supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.

Confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations is mandatory.

Employees must ensure compliance with all required vaccinations.

The physical therapist will administer treatments per standard practices and maintain documentation in accordance with agency policy and state regulations.

They will evaluate care needs and plan health care services based on patient requirements.

The role involves supervising the treatments given by assistants and aides.

Participation in team meetings and performance improvement activities is expected.

The physical therapist should continuously promote patient and family independence and prepare patients for discharge.
