Job Title : Assembler

Job Description

Join a leading innovator in robotic automation and material handling equipment as a Mechanical Assembler. Contribute to the creation of sophisticated low-level machines, high and low-level case palletizers, and multi-line case palletizing systems. Work with a sister company that builds large industrial conveyors and collaborates with renowned partners in the Food and Beverage and Chemical industries.

Responsibilities

  • Use machine drawings, assembly drawings, control schematics, and relevant bills of materials to proficiently build according to specifications and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Engage in reducing and eliminating non-value-added work throughout the organization.
  • Utilize hand tools proficiently for tasks such as structural assembly, mechanical drive assembly, fluid control assembly, guard and cover assembly, mechanical assembly, and simple electrical assembly, ensuring quality workmanship and neatness.
  • Complete quality assurance checks and provide accurate documentation, including labor reporting, material issue / returns, material moves, and material scrap reports.
  • Execute inventory re-ordering policies, including 'Kanban'.
  • Prepare equipment for shipment, including machine teardown.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • 1+ year of mechanical assembly experience.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with tape measure and general labor tasks.
  • Capability to work in a team setting, with groups of 2-6 assemblers.

    Work Environment

    Work the first shift from 5 : 30 AM Monday to Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch break. Voluntary and potential involuntary overtime may occur on Fridays and Saturdays. The facility is very clean and well-lit, and you will work with Milwaukee tools. Assemblers may occasionally work on platforms 20ft high and 70 ft long.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $23.50 / hr.
