Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a crucial role in providing compassionate care to residents during assigned work shifts in long-term care. You will deliver resident-centered nursing care, assisting with daily living needs as per the care plan, while under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You will be responsible for :

Delivering age-appropriate care for residents’ physical and psychological needs.

Assisting with activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and providing psychosocial support.

Documenting interactions and vital signs, and communicating changes in residents' conditions to the charge nurse.

Helping with meals and ensuring a positive dining experience for residents.

Providing assistance with transfers and movements, ensuring safety and comfort.

Participating in recreational programs and supporting residents' engagement.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred, though not required.

Must be at least 16 years old. Prior experience in long-term care is a plus.

Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of starting.

Completing annual continuing education and competency tests is mandatory.

Must have a valid driver's license and be medically qualified to meet essential driving functions if required.
