Seasonal Registered Nurse - Acute Telemetry

Description\n\nSummary : \n\nWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Seasonal Registered Nurse in Acute Telemetry to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will independently handle routine and complex patient care while being mindful of long-range patient goals. You will continue to grow your clinical nursing skills and effectively manage various aspects of patient care through thoughtful delegation and coordination with other care providers.\n\nResponsibilities : \n

• Provide high-quality nursing care utilizing the complete nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for your assigned patients.\n
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of both patients and families in alignment with your practice level.\n
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols; diligently monitor for side effects and effectiveness.\n
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately.\n
• Assess patient and family learning needs, offering education and resources to support their care and understanding.\n\nJob Requirements : \n\nEducation / Skills\n
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.\n\nExperience\n
• Preferred : 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty.\n\nLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications\n
• BLS certification required.\n
• Active RN License in the state of employment or compact state.\n\nPosition Requirements : \n\nEducation / Skills\n
• All newly hired experienced RNs must participate in the New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.\n
• New hires will be paired with trained preceptors to support their onboarding, with competency validations required.\n
• Newly licensed RNs may also engage in a residency program for enhanced orientation and skills development.\n
• Complete all annual competency verification requirements.\n\nExperience\n
• Preferred : One year of experience in a related nursing specialty.\n\nLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications\n
• Current ACLS certification required.\n\nAs per CHRISTUS Health policies, all associates must obtain required certifications within designated time frames.\n\nCredential Grace Periods : \n
• For Candidates / Associates with at least one year of acute care clinical experience within the past three years, you are classified as an Experienced Associate.\n
• For those without one year of full-time acute care experience in the same specialty within the past three years, you are considered an Experienced Associate New to the Specialty.\n\nCredential Grace Periods for New Graduates & Experienced Associates New to the Specialty : \n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) : No grace period; AHA or Red Cross accepted at the time of hire.\n
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) : Within 30 days of hire for Experienced Associates; Within 90 days for New Graduates.\n
• Pediatric Life Support (PALS) : Within 30 days of hire for Experienced Associates; Within 90 days for New Graduates.\n
• Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) : Within 60 days of hire for Experienced Associates; Within 18 months for New Graduates.\n
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) : Within 60 days of hire for Experienced Associates; Within 18 months for New Graduates.\n
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) : Within 30 days of hire for Experienced Associates; Within 60 days for New Graduates.\n
• AWHONN INTERMEDIATE FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring) : Within 30 days of hire for Experienced Associates; Within 60 days for New Graduates.\n
