About The Position

Job Title : Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Profession : Surgical Services

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (07 : 00 - 19 : 30)

Experience : Minimum 2 years in multi-specialties, specifically Orthopedic, Thoracic, Vascular, and Robotics

License : Required

Certifications : National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Must-Have :

Robotics, Vascular, and Thoracic experience

Level I Trauma experience required

Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system

Description :

Candidates must be certified as a Certified Surgical Technologist.

Schedule includes three 12-hour shifts from 07 : 00 to 19 : 30.

On-call requirement includes 4-6 calls within a 6-week matrix with a 30-minute response time.

Four to six weekend shifts are required within a 6-week matrix, with weekends potentially scheduled for days, evenings, or nights.

Holidays may be required, with candidates expected to work two of three major holidays and no time off approved between Christmas and New Year's.

Blocked scheduling is not permitted.

Candidates may care for COVID patients.

The facility is tobacco and fragrance-free.

Local candidates may be offered at a different rate.

Candidates must have prior case experience in robotics, vascular, thoracics, orthopedic procedures, and trauma settings.

Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff for fit, and if approved, interviews will be conducted.

Additional skills in surgical procedures such as laparoscopic surgeries, endoscopic procedures, and various other surgical techniques are preferred.

Candidates must adhere to strict sterilization and disinfection protocols, as well as patient care and safety regulations.

The position may require working with diverse patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Candidates will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care and support.
