Surgery Coder Specialist

A company is looking for a Surgery Coder Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately assigns ICD-10, CPT, and / or HCPCS codes following established guidelines

Ensures data integrity of coded patient records by reviewing medical documentation

Acts as a resource for researching patient accounts and communicates with providers for clarification

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

High School diploma or equivalent required

1 year of coding experience required

Completion of an accredited coding program with certification preferred

Recognized Certification by AHIMA or AAPC preferred

Knowledge of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and coding principles
