Job Details
The Assistant Corporate Controller will play a key leadership role in delivering accurate, timely financial statements and strategic analyses. This position supports senior leadership in assessing operating performance, allocating capital effectively, and enabling sound business decisions.
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as a senior accounting leader overseeing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsLead and develop high-performing teams within corporate accounting and revenue functionsManage the monthly close process and coordinate activities with the global controllership team and business segmentsOversee internal and external financial reporting, including SEC filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Section 16, and 11-KProvide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and cross-functional initiativesMaintain and update financial and accounting policies in line with evolving standardsLead accounting processes for complex areas, including stock compensation, pensions, derivatives, goodwill, leasing, and revenue recognitionAct as liaison with internal auditors and external audit partnersLeverage enterprise tools such as SAP, OneStream Consolidation, Workiva, and LeaseQuery to enhance accounting efficiencyPrepare materials and financial updates for Audit Committee presentationsDevelop and monitor procedures to ensure timely, accurate financial data processingSupport budgeting and monthly forecasting activitiesLead continuous improvement and automation initiatives across accounting and reporting functionsOversee the internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) program to maintain SOX compliance and optimize compliance-related costsCoordinate SOX testing and address remediation activities with internal and external auditorsEnsure consistent documentation and updates of internal controls across business processesDeliver SOX training and guidance to accounting teams and internal departmentsProvide financial oversight for major contracts, ensuring alignment with ASC 606 and company policiesCollaborate with legal, sales, and procurement on contractual terms and accounting impactsParticipate in enterprise risk management (ERM) efforts, helping identify risks and develop mitigation strategiesRequirements :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institutionMinimum of 12 years of relevant accounting and finance experienceCPA or relevant professional certification strongly preferredGraduate degree or advanced coursework in Finance, Accounting, or Business is a plusAdditional Qualifications :
