About The Position

Must-Have :

• New York license in hand
• Charge experience
• Proficient in EPIC

Description :

Candidates must have a valid New York nursing license.

Local candidates are not accepted, and candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility.

The unit provides complex care for medicine, orthopedic overflow, and long-term patients.

Experience with telemetry monitoring is required.

Skills needed include management of dysrhythmias and use of rapid response and code teams.

Candidates should have experience with pacemaker care, feeding tube management, and blood product administration.

Proficiency in central line care, phlebotomy, and starting IVs is also required.

Management of orthopedic trauma and total joint replacements is part of the role.

Candidates must be able to handle patient ratios of 1 : 5 to 1 : 7 for MedSurg.

Floating to other units may be required.

Weekend shifts are every other weekend.

Candidates should be knowledgeable in isolation precautions and wound care.

Additional skills necessary include use of high flow nasal cannula and tracheostomy management.

Experience with oxygen administration using various devices is a must.

Candidates should also be familiar with surgical drains and managing patient care in high-acuity settings.
