Hunting Team lead

Team Leader Position

Under the supervision of the Group Sales or Department Manager, the team leader gives daily direction to the associates in one of the departments within the store, to include merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales enhancements, stocking, and customer service activities.

Essential functions include supporting the GSM / DM in achievement of departmental sales, gross margin, inventory shrinkage, and payroll goals, and providing daily direction to the associates within the department.

Other duties include preparing to-do / task lists, executing merchandising directives, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers, staffing the department with service-oriented associates, resolving customer and associate opportunities, maintaining a high level of personal customer service, remaining a product expert, assisting with special events, and coordinating all supervisory responsibilities.

Experience / qualifications include a minimum high school diploma or equivalent, 2 to 4 years in retail sales, and supervisory experience is a plus.

Knowledge, skills, and ability include calculating figures and amounts, reading and analyzing reports, presenting information, conducting meetings and presentations, proficiency with PC-based systems, and strong interpersonal skills.

Physical requirements include standing and walking during shifts, ascending or descending ladders, communicating with others, operating machinery and vehicles, and lifting objects up to 100 pounds.

Independent judgment involves performing duties within company policies, analyzing problems, and making recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
