Overview
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class B driver to join our local fleet. This position is responsible for operating box trucks or similar vehicles for pickups and deliveries within the region. A current DOT medical card and strong route awareness are essential. Passenger endorsement is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Ensure proper load securement and verify freight documents, including BOLs and delivery receipts.
- Maintain accurate Hours of Service (HOS) logs via ELD or paper as applicable.
- Communicate with dispatch for route updates, issues, or delays.
- Uphold a clean and professional appearance and represent the company respectfully to customers and
vendors.
Report maintenance issues, accidents, or violations promptly to fleet management.Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.Maintain the cleanliness and condition of assigned equipment.Requirements
Part-time Split Shift (6 : 00 AM - 9 : 00 AM and 3 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 PM) - 6 hours a dayValid CDL Class B license (Passenger endorsement preferred)Current and valid DOT Medical CardClean MVR and safety recordMinimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferredFamiliarity with ELD systems and DOT HOS regulationsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as neededKnowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and delivery protocols is a plusStrong communication and time management skillsPreferred Qualifications
