Job Title : Senior Project Engineer

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our team working on the US Air Force's Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) mission. This role involves developing and implementing strategies for multiple integrated plans for product development, from design to delivery, with a focus on the technical leadership of the Integrated Digital Environment supporting a fully digital program and digital thread.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead the technical execution, vision, and strategy of the Integrated Digital Environment (IDE).
  • Provide technical leadership to the integrated product team (IPT) responsible for the IDE.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's of Science in a related field.
  • Typically, 12+ years of progressive technical experience.
  • Expert knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary design and development teams.
  • Understanding of requirements management, system design, and integration.
  • Leadership experience in engineering projects.
  • Experience with Digital Thread and digital program execution.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 6-8 years of relevant leadership and project management experience.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and communicating with program management and customers.
  • Experience in project estimates, technical proposals, and cost / schedule management.
  • Experience building and developing a digital thread system.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Professional certification in PMI / PMP and / or INCOSE.
  • Background in aerospace and defense industry.
