Summary
The driver ensures that tools and / or materials are handled and delivered in a safe and timely manner while providing excellent customer service to customers and vendors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, lifting and carrying product and stocking in appropriate areas in a timely manner.
- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses.
- Inspect vehicle, responsible for oil change and tire maintenance.
- Maintain professional presentation and excellent customer service.
- Support overall logistics and material handling needs throughout the shop when not driving.
- Assist with preparing shipments / tools by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling when not driving.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
- Ensure that all AIT tools are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and Foreign Object Damage
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience
High School diploma or GED.Certification Requirement and Preference.One to three years related experience.Must be able to pass driving background check.Must have valid driver's license and CDL Class A.Three to Five years prior shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.Familiarity for Bills of Material (BOMs)Work Authorization / Security Clearance Requirements
