Position Overview
We are seeking a
DevSecOps Engineer
to lead the design, implementation, and sustainment of secure and automated DevSecOps pipelines within the
Army ECMA (Enterprise Cloud Management Agency)
environment. This role is vital in supporting continuous integration and deployment (CI / CD) for IL5 and IL6 environments on AWS.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, develop, and maintain end-to-end
DevSecOps pipelines
leveraging Git infrastructure and modern CI / CD tools.
Automate
security testing
, integrate
security controls
throughout the SDLC, and ensure
compliance with IL5 / IL6
cloud requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, security, and infrastructure vendors to deploy secure applications in a high-assurance environment.
Deploy applications continuously and securely to
IL5 / IL6 AWS
cloud environments using infrastructure-as-code.
Implement and maintain tools for containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
Manage and monitor pipeline health, proactively troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.
Document all configuration, procedures, and best practices to ensure team knowledge sharing and operational consistency.
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship
and an
active Secret or Top Secret clearance
Proven experience
designing and managing DevSecOps pipelines
Deep understanding of
Git-based version control
systems and related tools.
Experience with
CI / CD automation
and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy).
Hands-on experience with
IL5 / IL6 cloud deployment
standards and security requirements.
Strong knowledge of
AWS services
, including GovCloud, IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, and CodePipeline.
Familiarity with
infrastructure as code
tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Proficiency with
containerization and orchestration tools
(Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
Solid understanding of
DevSecOps security tools and practices
(e.g., SonarQube, static / dynamic code analysis, compliance as code).
Preferred Experience
Prior experience working in the
Army ECMA environment
or similar DoD / government projects.
Exposure to hybrid deployment models, including
microservices
serverless architecture
, and
event-based pipelines
Familiarity with DevSecOps frameworks in compliance with
NIST SP 800-53
FedRAMP
, and
DoD RMF
standards.
