About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Test Engineer to lead and execute rigorous validation of autonomous marine systems in both controlled lab environments and dynamic ocean conditions. You will play a critical role in qualifying systems for mission-readiness by designing, executing, and documenting comprehensive test campaigns. This role spans shore-based integration work to offshore test ranges and requires close collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and software teams.

A drive for high yield, low-cost design innovation is needed to reduce the complexity and bring about a step change in the subsea manufacturing space.

How you will make an impact on ocean intelligence

• Develop, execute, and document test plans for autonomous underwater and surface vehicles, including subsystem, system-level, and mission-level tests.
• Lead and participate in sea trials, including test range operations, launch & recovery, data collection, and real-time troubleshooting.
• Operate test equipment, instrumentation, and support infrastructure (e.g., battery chargers, simulators, navigation aids) during onshore and offshore testing.
• Analyze post-test data to validate system performance against requirements and drive resolution of issues across engineering teams.
• Develop automated and repeatable test procedures to streamline regression testing and factory acceptance.
• Coordinate logistics for field tests, including equipment preparation, transportation, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including test reports, discrepancy logs, and performance metrics.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders, including QA, systems engineering, and program management.
