Job Position : Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join our backend engineering team focused on building scalable, reliable, and high-performance services for our FAST, AVOD and SVOD offerings.

Youll help architect and implement core APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and integrations that power live linear and VOD experiences across millions of users. This is a high-impact role ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments, love tackling complex distributed systems problems, and are passionate about streaming media.

This position will be on-site with our client, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and will report directly to the client regarding the project.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services powering our FAST channels (e.g. EPG, ad insertion, content scheduling, metadata, etc.)
• Build and optimize APIs for content ingestion, scheduling, and delivery
• Collaborate with product, DevOps, and ad tech engineering teams to design scalable microservices architectures
• Integrate with third-party services such as SSAI (server-side ad insertion), CDN APIs, content catalogs, and analytics
• Drive best practices for code quality, observability, automated testing, and CI / CD pipelines
