Job Title : Golf Assistant Coach (regular season)

Classification : Seasonal, Non-exempt

Reports To : Athletic Director, Associate Athletic Director

Dates : August 11, 2025 to mid / late October

Job purpose

To help create and promote a healthy team, player / coach, coach to coach dynamic

Create a space for students to have the opportunity to participate in sport specific training during their season

Duties and responsibilities

Assist in planning, directing and supervising practices

Attend all matches

Ride team bus when necessary

Be present at team gatherings

Manage equipment

Participate in coaching meetings when necessary

Communicate with team and parents as necessary

Coordinate with opposing coaches and golf club around all match schedule changes

Report game results to the athletic department

Complete coaching education as required by the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF)

Qualifications

Undergraduate Degree preferred

Knowledge of sport

Ability to improve team dynamics

Organized, positive, patient

Enjoys working with teenagers

Previous playing or coaching experience

CPR / FIRST Aid Certification

Working conditions

Essential Physical Tasks : To work on your feet for multiple hours. Lift and carry up to 40 lbs of equipment. Travel to offsite facilities and ability to work evenings and some weekends.
