As a Security Professional - Distribution Center Patrol - Part Time in Harrisonburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support daily operations at a busy logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime Thur 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM Fri 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and site-specific procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location, including the perimeter, to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by site-specific policies.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address and resolve security-related concerns.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as appropriate, assisting with evacuations or other procedures as directed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
