A company is looking for a Patient Access Representative (REMOTE).
Key Responsibilities
Request and obtain prescriptions and authorizations from medical offices and insurance companies
Follow up on requests to ensure timely receipt and resolution of inquiries related to medical necessity
Re-verify patient eligibility for continued services and meet established metrics and goals
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Two years in a related administrative / customer service role, preferably in healthcare or medical office
Associates Degree in medical office management, medical insurance, or medical coding is preferred
Experience with insurance authorization and / or precertification
Medical Billing and Coding Certification is a plus
