The Wall Street Journal is seeking a reporter to break news and write memorable features in the tech and media industries, with an emphasis on scoops, strong sourcing and authoritative, agenda-setting coverage.
The canvas for this job is broad. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the inner workings of tech and media companies and the ways that they touch all of our lives. We are looking for someone capable of producing a steady stream of big scoops on the biggest players in tech and media while also being able to deliver ambitious features. Candidates should have seven or more years experience writing news and features, with clips that specifically demonstrate the ability to tell big, bold stories that get people talking. The job will report to the Tech & Media Editor. This role is based in San Francisco and would consider qualified New York based candidates.
