Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma / Med Surg night shift position in an acute care, Level 1 trauma setting, requiring 2 years of experience and current ACLS / BLS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an acute care hospital setting on the Trauma / Med Surg unit with telemetry
  • Level 1 trauma center caring for a diverse patient population across all phases of diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
  • Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 4-5 on days and 1 : 5-6 on nights
  • Night shift with 12-hour shifts; required to work every other weekend and holiday
  • May float to similar Med / Surg and Telemetry units within the facility
  • Utilizes Epic for charting and documentation
  • Responsible for patient care coordination, assessment, education, triage, and nursing interventions
  • Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Must disclose any previous employment at Sanford Health for eligibility consideration
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Maintains productive working relationships and adheres to patient confidentiality standards
  • Providing safe and competent care in accordance with agency and professional practice standards

  • Active SD or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years recent relevant RN experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Completion of 8 hours of facility orientation required
  • Tele and acute care experience strongly preferred
