Summer Operations Intern

NiSource is currently seeking Summer Operations Interns in Columbus, OH and Merrillville, IN locations. Successful applicants will become integral members of the department while learning within a team environment, completing meaningful tasks and collaborating with team members and leaders on important projects. These positions will be a great opportunity for the candidate desiring to launch their career in the Operations field. Successful applicants will build professional relationships with other interns and all levels of NiSource personnel while participating in rewarding professional development exercises and fun, team-building activities. Interns will obtain a broad overview of NiSource's operations and current events in the utilities industry.

This position follows a hybrid schedule, requiring on-site presence three days per week and remote work two days per week. Essential Functions

• Assist with Process Documentation : Documenting workflows and procedures for various teams within the technical training group, ensuring clarity and consistency. Ensure existing process documents are updated.
• Leverage AI for Efficiency : Identifying and applying AI tools to streamline processes owned by the technical training organization.
• Facilitate Meetings : Supporting or even leading meetings with members of the technical training team to ensure alignment and progress tracking.
• Update Training Deliverables : Interns help revise and maintain training materials, including course content, job aids, and other program assets.
• Analyze Learning Metrics : Intern may be asked to review learning metrics and make recommendations based on analysis.
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands
