Healthcare Legal Recruitment Consultant at Larson Maddox – I am partnered with a leading health system in Nashville looking to expand their legal team. This organization is looking to add a Technology Counsel with over 10 years of experience. This role will provide strategic legal counsel on a wide range of technology-related matters, including digital health, data privacy, cybersecurity, software licensing, and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the healthcare regulatory landscape and a strong track record of advising on complex technology transactions and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance on technology transactions, including SaaS agreements, cloud services, software licensing, and vendor contracts.
- Advise on legal and regulatory issues related to digital health platforms, AI / ML tools, telemedicine, and mobile health applications.
- Collaborate with IT, compliance, and security teams to ensure adherence to HIPAA, HITECH, and other applicable data privacy and cybersecurity regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements with technology vendors, partners, and service providers.
- Monitor and interpret evolving laws and regulations affecting healthcare technology, including FTC, FDA, and state-specific digital health laws.
- Provide training and education to internal stakeholders on legal risks and best practices in technology adoption and innovation.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years focused on technology law in the healthcare sector.In-depth knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, and other data privacy and security frameworks.Experience negotiating and managing complex technology contracts and licensing agreements.Strong understanding of healthcare operations, digital health trends, and regulatory compliance.Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.Seniority level
