Bliss Speech and Hearing Services is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated individual to join our team as a Medical Billing Specialist. Regularly scheduled hours are 8 : 30am to 5 : 30pm Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities to include :

• Payment posting, including both patient and insurance payments.
• Medical billing and collections.
• Follow up on insurance claims.
• Patient insurance eligibility and verification.
• Initiating and tracking insurance authorizations and PCP referrals.
• Answering patient calls regarding billing inquiries.
• Documenting in patients' accounts / electronic medical records any follow ups completed or actions taken.

Qualifications :

Experience in a medical role completing responsibilities listed above.

Organized and able to multi-task.

Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent typing skills and ability to prepare professional business correspondence.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
