American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Middlebury, Vermont.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Epic EMR and C-section experience for a rotating call and weekend schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Position located in a hospital Operating Room setting
  • 10-hour day shifts with rotating weekly and weekend call requirements
  • Work schedule includes every other weekend or as adjusted for patient care needs
  • Assignment duration is up to 25 weeks
  • Travelers are required to work 2 out of the 4 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
  • Epic EMR is utilized and recent experience with Epic is required
  • OR RNs with strong circulating skills will be considered, though scrub experience is highly preferred
  • No block scheduling allowed for any reason
  • Bi-weekly orientation available on Mondays
  • Holiday coverage required for assigned holidays
  • Travelers may be required to adjust their schedules to meet the needs of the unit
  • Candidates should be prepared for inclement weather due to the location

    • Requirements

  • Active VT or compact RN license required
  • AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Experience performing C-sections is required
  • Recent experience with Epic EMR within the past 2 years is nonnegotiable
  • Reliable personal vehicle or rental vehicle is strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation
  • Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires from November through April
