Accentuate Staffing is working with a global manufacturing organization seeking a Project EHS Lead to support a major brownfield expansion project. This position plays a key role in ensuring all environmental, health, and safety systems are effectively designed, implemented, and maintained throughout project execution — from early design and construction phases through installation, commissioning, and startup. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to influence site safety culture, align systems with corporate standards, and work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to ensure safe project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial project safety management, with the ability to manage contractors, conduct risk assessments, and lead on-site safety initiatives. Success in this role requires practical experience in EHS systems, construction and installation safety, and collaboration with both internal teams and external agencies. Candidates with experience in pharmaceutical, food, or related regulated manufacturing environments will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee safety systems and compliance throughout project phases including design, construction, equipment installation, and commissioning.
  • Lead site safety meetings, inspections, and audits; identify and resolve non-compliance issues.
  • Develop and implement job safety analyses, permits to work, and high-risk work control processes.
  • Coordinate contractor induction, training, and certification verification to ensure site access compliance.
  • Collaborate with project and site leadership to align safety standards and reporting practices.
  • Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to meet required safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing EHS on brownfield or greenfield projects in manufacturing or process industries.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety, electrical safety, and fire prevention systems.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors and implement effective safety management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • EHS or Safety Engineer certification preferred; English reading and communication skills required.
