About The Position

Position Summary :

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a per diem, night shift basis. The Pharmacy Tech will assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications to patients while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with all applicable laws and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist pharmacists in filling, packaging, and labeling prescriptions.

Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounding under supervision.

Restock and maintain automated dispensing cabinets and medication carts.

Deliver medications to patient care areas and retrieve unused medications as needed.

Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and controlled substances.

Support pharmacists in monitoring medication usage and resolving medication-related issues.

Adhere to all state and federal regulations, infection control, and safety standards.

Provide excellent customer service to patients, nurses, and clinical staff.

Qualifications :

Current California Pharmacy Technician License (required).

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Minimum 1 year of hospital or acute-care pharmacy experience preferred.

Knowledge of Pyxis or similar automated dispensing systems preferred.

Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Ability to work independently during overnight hours.

Shift Details :

Schedule : Per diem, as needed

Shift : 7 : 00 PM 7 : 30 AM (12-hour nights)

Setting : Hospital / Inpatient Pharmacy
