As a Security Professional - Media Patrol in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and integrity, reflecting our commitment to putting people first. You will play a key part in supporting a culture where innovation and care for others are valued every day.

Position Type : Part Time. This is a Part Time Position and Not Eligible for Health Benefits or 401k. Pay Rate : $23.00 / Hour. Job Schedule : Day Time Mon-11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM Tue-11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM.

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide exceptional customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, engaging with people professionally at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and around the perimeter, observing for any irregularities or potential concerns.
  • Help to deter potential security-related incidents through visible presence and attentive patrols.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual circumstances encountered during patrols.
  • Follow all Allied Universal protocols and client site instructions related to access control, visitor management, and emergency response.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment at the technology and telecommunications location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
