M&J is currently seeking a Senior Engineer assigned to our Arlington, VA office, who will be working onsite at our project in Washington, DC. For this position, the successful candidate will work on our client's site for up to five years with the potential for follow-on work in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. The successful candidate will manage the assigned elements of a rail infrastructure project.

The Senior Engineer serves as the onsite M&J representative providing engineering infrastructure and operational project support in support of a Federal construction project in the Washington DC area.

Responsibilities include :

• Leading the design and coordination of civil and structural engineering projects, with a focus on rail transit systems.
• Overseeing the preparation of detailed project specifications, plans, and estimates for rail infrastructure projects.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including civil, traffic, and structural engineers to ensure projects meet technical and safety standards.
• Managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful completion within scope and on time.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices in all project phases.
• Participating in client meetings and presentations, providing detailed technical reports and recommendations.
• Conducting field inspections and assessments to verify project compliance and resolve on-site issues.
• Preparing and presenting detailed reports, documentation, and technical specifications to stakeholders and senior management.
• Performing all other position-related duties as assigned.
